The 34th annual spring dinner and auction was held on May 2nd, 2026, with assistance from our advertisers, sponsors, and attendees who turned out for a delicious dinner from the Knights of Columbus and some amazing auction items! We had a successful evening that will directly help our advocacy and project fieldwork in support of wild Atlantic salmon.
We want to thank the Atlantic Salmon Federation, Browning Harvey, Jim Burton and family, The Foundation for Conservation of Atlantic Salmon, and Newfoundland & Labrador Outfitters for their advertising and sponsorship. We also thank ASF again, Atlantic Rivers Outfitting, and Hawke River Lodge for their generous live auction donations.
The funds raised last night go directly into supporting our advocacy at every level to protect wild Atlantic salmon and their habitat, and our hands-on fieldwork on rivers on the Avalon Peninsula. This work would not be possible without your support.

At this year’s event, we again presented the annual Dorothy Burton Conservation Award. This award honours an individual, corporation, or agency who promote catch and release as a conservation measure or who use the practice regularly in their angling activities for the conservation or protection of salmon and trout populations within our province.
