This is a simple pattern to tie. It is also very effective fly in all rivers around the province. It is often known as Black Bear, Green Butt, although I find a black squirrel tail wing just as good. I fish this fly hitched (Portland Creek Hitch) and consider it a must in my fly box. I usually fish a size 8 or 10 fly and find these sizes the best around the province |
