Comments: |
Since white Polar Bear is kinda hard to find, substitute White Moose. Moose hair works best, but any white wing should do. I've used monga, winter rabbit, goat and calf tail. Tie the wing a little thick and don't stack. |

History: |
This fly is a creation that combined aspects of two other flies that worked well on the Upper Salmonier River. The Black Moose (local name) and Bas Vokey's Polar White. The Salmonier special takes the tag and body from the Black Moose and the rib and wing from the Polar White. To me a good fly is one that rises a fish when others don't. And this is a very good fly! |
