Rivers

Newfoundland and Labrador has been blessed with an extrordinary amount of fresh water. Its lakes, rivers and brooks number in the thousands making it an ideal location for angling. Of these thousands of rivers and brooks, 177 have been classified as scheduled salmon rivers that have significant runs of Atlantic Salmon.

As shown in the map on the left, the province is divided into 15 management zones reflecting the unique enivorments of the different river systems. Clicking on a Zone will bring you to a more detailed map of the area plus a listing of each river and any additional information that we collect.
