The ninth annual Moose Stew Supper has come and gone with great success. With over 200 people in attendance, the evening was filled with enthusiastic individuals eager to have moose stew and games of chance on spins and a silent auction.
There were vats of stew brewing as we came into the hall. The rich aroma surrounding the room filled all with anticipation of the meal to come. Boy was it worth the wait! "SOUPS ON!", was the cry and lines quickly formed behind several large pots of the steaming stew. There was moose stew flying in all directions, making the lines move at an amazing rate. Seconds. Thirds. I think there were a few fourths too, but this is an unsubstantiated rumor. All I know for certain, is that everyone had their fill and there was nary a stain left in any pot by evening´s end.
There were prizes and raffles galore. Many who attended, had their Christmas shopping done by the end of the evening
